This album is a CONCEPT album. It's about the cycle of facing temptation and often failing to resist it, but coming to the realization of repentance and the need to be transformed, which is something that needs to happen daily.

The album is about the Parable of the Sower found in Matthew. How the Holy Spirit causes faith in us is the same as how the plants grow, but sometimes seeds are dropped in places where they can't grow and that's due to how people take in the Word.

Alongside of that, we all are being bugged by some little agent of the devil like Wormwood from CS Lewis' "The Screwtape Letters." I see myself as the man being tugged in all sorts of directions from time to time, to lead me elsewhere but God. Ultimately, even when I find myself in doubt or despair, I'm lead up to the Cross, facing Jesus. Realizing that in my defeat, in my weakness, His power is made perfect. These songs are about killing the old, and letting your new-self live. It's about struggling and the failure to resist temptation in our lives, yet there's a cry out for help deep down. A longing to change ourselves into something far more, which only God can transform.
